How It Works
In order to tell your story in the most beautiful and unique way, we will work through a 5 step custom design process. Together we will dream up the perfect heirloom and every element of the suite will be designed by hand just for you! These are my favorite projects to work on, and I want to make sure you have excellent communication and access to me as your designer, so I only take on a limited number of full service stationery clients each year. These spaces do fill up quickly, so be sure to inquire as soon as you know you'd like to work with me.
Custom Stationery Design Process
step 1 - Consultation
Congratulations on your engagement! What an exciting day it must have been - I can’t wait to hear about it! Once I receive your inquiry I will reach out to you within 24 to 48 business hours to schedule a video call. This is a great way for me to hear your story, as well as get a sense of your style and interests as we think up some design ideas for your stationery.
Step 2 - Details & Pricing
After your consultation, I will create a proposal outlining the invitation suite we dreamt up, with any additional services you were interested in, the investment. I will send you the proposal within 24 to 48 business hours. Once you’ve looked everything over and had all of your questions answered, you can pay the deposit. This is where we can begin creating your perfect invitations!
Step 3 - Design Phase
In the design phase I will create a design lookbook with inspiration images that represent the feel & aesthetic of your invitation suite. These initial sketches will include various ways we can incorporate the details that matter to you into your printed pieces. This phase generally takes 2 weeks to create, then once you receive the electronic preview we will set up a meeting or call. At this meeting it is important to share what your initial thoughts were, what you love and don’t love, and then collaborate to make the changes that will move all aspects of the design to the "love" category!
Step 4 - Design Proofs
After our design phase collaboration, I will work on the artwork and overall layout discussed and send them to you over the course of 2 to 6 weeks. Once everything is laid out you will receive your digital proofs. This is your chance to review the design and spelling of every piece of the invitation suite, providing any revisions you may have. You are allotted 3 free revisions to your designs in order to keep the process timely. As soon as all is reviewed and the changes are made, you will give your final stamp of approval for production!
Step 5 - Final Designs
Now your designs are complete and ready for printing! Your final balance is due before this production can begin. Standard printing time for flat printing is 5 business days, and assembly takes between 3 to 4 weeks depending on the complexity of your suite. Once all the pieces are assembled your invitations will be mailed and your guests will get the first glimpse into this chapter of your story!
